U.S. Embassy Supports Participation of Serbian Officials at Regional Seminar "Civil-Military Response to Terrorism"

The U.S. Embassy in Belgrade is supporting the participation of three officials from Serbia at the regional two-week seminar "Civil-Military Response to Terrorism" to take place at the Peace Support Operation Training Center (PSOTC) in Sarajevo June 19-30.

The seminar will be organized by the Center for Civil-Military Relations with the primary aim to provide the participants a thorough understanding of terrorism in all its forms, with considerable emphasis on strategy formulation and international cooperation. The program utilizes case studies and simulation exercises to stimulate thoughtful discussion, providing participants with the insight how to design successful strategies to defeat terrorist networks, protect citizens and property and address the root causes of terrorism.

The three participants from Serbia include the two officers from Ministry of Defense and one officer from Ministry of Interior whose specialization is counterterrorism. They will join twenty of their counterparts from Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Slovenia and Turkey.

Ambasada SAD podržava učešće zvaničnika Srbije na regionalnom seminaru "Civilno-vojni odgovor na terorizam"

Ambasada SAD u Beogradu pomaže učešće tri zvaničnika iz Srbije na regionalnom dvonedeljnom seminaru "Civilno-vojni odgovor na terorizam" koji će se održati u Centru za mirovne operacije u Sarajevu, od 19. do 30. juna.

Seminar organizuje Centar za civilno-vojne odnose sa osnovnim ciljem da učesnicima pruži celishodno razumevanje terorizma u svim njegovim oblicima, sa posebnim naglaskom na formulaciju strategije i međunarodnu saradnju. Program koristi studije slučajeva i simulaciju vežbi kako bi se podstakla smisaona diskusija, pružajući učesnicima uvid u to kako da izrade uspešne strategije za nanošenje poraza terorističkim mrežama, zaštitu gradjana i imovine i sagledavanja osnovnih uzroka pojave terorizma.

Trojica učesnika iz Srbije su dva oficira iz Ministarstva odbrane i jedan oficir iz Ministarstva unutrašnjih poslova čija specijalnost je borba protiv terorizma. Oni će se pridružiti grupi od ostalih dvadeset kolega iz Albanije, Austrije, Bugarske, Hrvatske, Grčke, Mađarske, Makedonije, Slovenije i Turske.
