"New York, New York" Photo Exhibit to be Opened in Belgrade on June 7

U.S. Ambassador Michael C. Polt will officially open the photographic exhibit "New York, New York" at the former depot of the Nis Tobacco Factory ("Fabrika Duvana Nis"), located at Tosin Bunar 130 in Novi Beograd, on Thursday, June 7, at 7 p.m. The exhibit is supported by the U.S. Embassy Belgrade in partnership with the Nis Tobacco Factory, Philip Morris International, and the Nis Art Foundation. It will be displayed at the gallery on Tosin Bunar 130 from June 8-21, 2007. After that, the exhibit will travel to Nis and then to Novi Sad, and will stay for several weeks in each city.

The exhibit "New York, New York" consists of 80 black-and-white photographs of the most important and recognizable landmarks of New York City, such as City Hall, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty and the Metropolitan Museum. Each photograph is accompanied by a short description. The author of the exhibit is Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel, Chairwoman of the Historic Landmarks Preservation Center of New York.

Press interested in covering the exhibit opening should be at the depot of the Nis Tobacco Factory, Tosin Bunar 130 in Novi Beograd no later than 6:50 pm on June 7.

Otvaranje izložbe fotografija "New York, New York" u Beogradu 7. Juna

Ambasador Sjedinjenih Država Majkl K. Polt će otvoriti izložbu fotografija "New York, New York" u bivšem depou Fabrike duvana Niš na Tošinom bunaru 130 na Novom Beogradu u četvrtak, 7. juna, u 19 časova. Izložba se realizuje pod pokroviteljstvom američke ambasade u partnerstvu sa Fabrikom duvana Niš, u sastavu Philip Morris International, i Niškom umetničkom fondacijom. Izložba će biti otvorena za javnost u prostoru na Tošinom bunaru 130 od 8. do 21. juna, od 12 do 20 sati svakog dana. Izložba će biti postavljena i u Nišu i Novom Sadu tokom leta.

Izložba "New York, New York" predstavlja 80 crno-belih fotografija najznačajnijih i najprepoznatljivijih znamenitosti Njujorka, kao što su Gradska skupština, Central park, Kip slobode i Metropoliten muzej. Svaka fotografija je propraćena odgovarajućim tekstualnim objašnjenjem. Autor izložbe je Barbarali Dajmonštajn - Spilvogel, predsedavajuća Centra za očuvanje istorijskih znamenitosti Njujorka.

Novinari koji žele da izveštavaju sa otvaranja izložbe treba da dođu u bivši depo Fabrike duvana Niš, Tošin Bunar 130, Novi Beograd, u 18:50 časova u četvrtak 7. juna.
