The American Corners provide current and reliable information about the United States, its society, values, and policies, through a variety of programs, services and products that are available to all Serbians.
There are currently seven American Corners in Serbia: Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis, Kragujevac, Vranje, Bujanovac and Subotica. The opening of an eighth corner in Novi Pazar is planned for early 2008.
All Corners in Serbia are built upon the core concept of local partnership. Sponsored jointly by the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade and a local host institution, public library or cultural center, the American Corners promote mutual understanding between Serbia and the United States, and reinforce intercultural exchange and friendship between our peoples.
