New York Choreographer Chet Walker in Belgrade
On Monday, September 25, at 12 pm, the U.S. Embassy and the dance magazine "Orchestra," in cooperation with the Terazije Theater, will hold a press conference to introduce New York jazz dance choreographer Chet Walker. Mr. Walker is visiting Belgrade on a Cultural Connect Envoy Program which recruits American performing and visual artists, arts managers and educators to work with their foreign counterparts at cultural institutions in order to build and strengthen relationships of trust, tolerance and hope between the U.S. and countries around the world. Mr. Walker's program in Belgrade includes workshops and master classes with professional dancers, dance students, children with special needs and children without parental care.
Chet Walker has performed on Broadway since the age of 16, appearing in the revival of On The Town, Lorelei, The Ambassadors, and four Bob Fosse musicals - The Pajama Game, Pippin, Dancin' and Sweet Charity. Mr. Walker has directed and choreographed numerous musicals in the U.S., Holland, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Argentina, Israel, Spain and London. Chet Walker is the founder and Artistic Director for the musical dance company WALKERDANCE. Mr. Walker originally conceived and reconstructed the choreography for the 1999 Tony Award-winner, Best Musical for Fosse.
The press conference will take place at the Terazije Theater, Terazije 29, Belgrade. Journalists who wish to cover this event should be at the Theater by 11:45 am.

Njujorški koreograf Čet Voker u Beogradu
U ponedeljak, 25. septembra, u 12 časova, Ambasada Sjedinjenih Američkih Država i časopis za umetničku igru "Orchestra" u saradnji sa Pozorištem na Terazijama organizuju konferenciju za štampu da bi predstavili njujorškog jazz dance koreografa Četa Vokera. G-din Voker je u Beogradu u okviru Culture Connect Envoy programa koji angažuje američke umetnike, umetničke menadžere i predavače da rade sa svojim stranim kolegama iz institucija kulture kako bi izgradili i ojačali veze poverenja, tolerancije i nade između Sjedinjenih Država i zemalja širom sveta. Program g-dina Vokera u Beogradu obuhvata radionice sa profesionalnim igračima, studentima igre, osobama sa posebnim potrebama i decom bez roditeljskog staranja.
Čet Voker nastupa na Brodveju od svoje 16-te godine. Nastupao je, između ostlaih, u rimejku mjuzikla On The Town, u mjuziklima Lorelei, The Ambassadors i u četiri mjuzikla Boba Fosija - The Pajama Game, Pippin, Dancin' i Sweet Charity. G-din Voker je režirao i uradio koreografiju za mnogobrojne mjuzikle u Sjedinjenim Državama, Holandiji, Japanu, Meksiku, Norveškoj, Argentini, Izraelu, Španiji i u Londonu. Čet Voker je osnivač i umetnički direktor igračke trupe WALKERDANCE čije je repertoarsko opredeljenje muzičko pozorište. G-din Voker je takođe rekonstruisao i uradio koreografiju za mjuzikl Fosse koji je osvojio nagradu Tony za najbolji mjuzikl 1999. godine.
Konferencija za štampu će se održati u Pozorištu na Terazijama, Terazije 29, Beograd. Mole se zainteresovani novinari da dođu u pozorište u 11:45 časova.
