Junior Faculty Development Program
The Junior Faculty Development Program is sponsored by the Bureau of Educational
and Cultural Affairs of the Department of State. The Bureau fosters mutual
understanding between the United States and other countries through educational
exchange and training programs.
The Junior Faculty Development Program provides university instructors from
of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Georgia,
Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro, Tajikistan,
Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan with a semester-long opportunity to expand their
knowledge and expertise in their academic field by attending classes and
working with faculty members at the universities in the United States. Individuals
may apply for fields in the humanities and social sciences.
The program is administered by the non-profit, non-governmental organization,
American Councils for International
Education (ACTR/ACCELS).
