U.S. Department of State Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs Visits Serbia

Mr. Frank Mermoud, the State Department's Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs, will visit Serbia on July 24 to meet with Serbian businesses to promote the upcoming U.S.-Southeast Europe Trade and Investment Conference to be held in Vienna, Austria October 6-7, 2008.

The conference aims to facilitate partnerships between U.S. and Southeast European companies in showcasing opportunities for U.S. exports and investment in the region. The conference will highlight developments in key industries including energy, financial services, information and communication technologies, tourism and transportation.

The U.S.-Southeast Europe Trade and Investment Conference is organized jointly by the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Commerce, and the Business Council for International Understanding, and will feature presentations by U.S. Ambassadors serving in the region and political and economic leaders from the governments of countries in the Balkan region. The conference will also include panel discussions with prominent investors, business leaders, and other leading experts from the region.

Specijalni predstavnik Stejt dipartmenta za komercijalna i poslovna pitanja u poseti Srbiji

Gospodin Frenk Mermud, specijalni predstavnik Stejt dipartmenta za komercijalna i poslovna pitanja će posetiti Srbiju 24. jula i susresti se sa privrednicima Srbije u cilju promovisanja konferencije "SAD - Jugoistočna Evropa: trgovina i investicije" koja će se održati u Beču 6. i 7. oktobra 2008.

Cilj konferencije je da olakša partnerstvo između SAD i zemalja Jugoistočne Evrope u predstavljanju mogućnosti za američki izvoz i investicije u regionu. Konferencija će istaći razvojne programe u ključnim industrijama uključujući energiju, finansijske usluge, informacijske i komunikacijske tehnologije, turizam i transport.

Konferenciju "SAD - Jugoistočna Evropa: trgovina i investicije" zajednički organizuju Stejt dipartment, američko Ministarstvo trgovine i Poslovni savet za međunarodnu saradnju. Na konferenciji će biti prikazane prezentacije ambasadora SAD koji služe u regionu kao i prezentacije političkih i ekonomskih lidera vlada zemalja Balkanskog regiona. Konferencija će takođe uključiti panel diskusije sa istaknutim investitorima, poslovnim liderima i drugim vodećim ekspertima iz regiona.
