Information Resource Center
The Information Resource Center (IRC) section
gives an overview of services and products offered by this integral part
of the Public Affairs Section
of the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade. The IRC provides advanced research and outreach
services for Serbia and Montenegro government officials, researchers, scholars,
journalists, librarians and information specialists, and others with professional
interest in the United States and related subjects. Also, one can find general
information about the United States under the "FAQ" sub-section
- "Frequently Asked Questions about the United States".
The Washington File
News and information materials drawn from the daily Washington
File comprise:
official administration texts, policy statements, speeches, transcripts,
regulatory decisions, fact sheets and chronologies related to U.S. foreign
policy, domestic issues, and global themes. Produced by the Bureau of International
Information Programs (IIP), U.S. Department of State.
PDQuery
The Public Diplomacy
Query (PDQ) Internet databases are produced by the
Bureau of International Information Programs (IIP) and comprise a wide array
of texts, documents, publications, reports, and other materials on U.S. foreign
policy and programs abroad, as well as more general information about U.S.
Government, society, and culture. Offers user-friendly interface and searching
tool.
FirstGov
The U.S. Government's official web portal, FirstGov.gov, is the U.S. gateway
to all government information, connecting the world to all U.S. government
information and services. Its powerful search engine and ever-growing
collection of topical and customer-focused links connects visitors to
millions of
web pages–from the federal government, local and tribal governments
and to foreign
nations around the world. Most of these pages are not available on commercial
websites.
Information U.S.A.
Information USA is an authoritative resource for foreign audiences seeking
information about American society, political processes, official
U.S. policies and culture. Prepared and updated by the U.S. Department of
State International
Information Programs, it comprise: Facts about the USA, Government & Politics,
Economy & Trade, Laws & Treaties, Media, Science & Technology,
Education, Society & Values, Arts & Culture, Geography & Travel.
